Leprechaun Gold Treasure Hunt

It was 8:30 at night.  The doorbell rang.  Who on earth could it be?

No one was there, but we found something on our porch.

It was an empty pot and a note rolled up like a scroll and tied with green ribbon.

Goofy opened the note and handed it to me.  I read...

The leprechauns needed my kids to help them find their missing gold!

When Princess gets excited she hops.  After I finished reading the letter above, she hopped all over the kitchen.  "We get to find gold mom!" she shouted, "And on St. Patrick's Day we get a present!"  She was so excited that she re-read the letter for Goofy to explain what it meant.

I wish I could have taken pictures of their reactions, but Princess would have become suspicious.  I will take pictures of them finding the gold as the week goes on.

If you would like to join us in helping the leprechauns find their gold before St. Patrick's Day, save the picture below to your computer, print it out, and have a "leprechaun" deliver it to your house.

What does your family like to do on St. Patrick's Day?

*Update: The leprechauns came and left the kids coins in their shoes.  They couldn't wait to show me what they had found.

Two very excited girls who found coins in what they now call their "lucky shoes."

Each morning this week is going to be so magical!
