4th of July Flower Toenails

I had BIG plans for this 4th of July.  BIG plans!  I was going to take my kids to the parade and all of the events.  The kids were going to sing my praises about how I am the best mom.  We were going to come home simply exhausted...

Even the best laid plans can fall through.

Because we couldn't get to the parade, I decided to make things as festive as possible at home.  We started off the day with painting nails.  I knew this would be a hit because nail painting is a rarity at our house.

I'm sure it's obvious from the previous pictures, I painted Princess' nails red.  Then, using a toothpick, I made little flowers on her big toes.  Goofy got white nails with blue flowers.

My girls were so proud to show off their nails.  Bud had lots of fun watching his sisters get their nails done.  He kept pointing at their feet and saying, "Pretty!"
