What is better than a warm chocolate chip cookie on a cold, rainy day?
Usually, when I make chocolate chip cookies they end up flat and get hard fairly quickly. It was time to either find a new recipe, or improve upon my previous recipe. As I was merrily pinning along I saw a pin that said "extra soft and chewy." That did it. I was hooked. I had to try them out.
Chewiest Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever
(From i heart nap time)
1 c butter, softened
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
3.4 oz box instant vanilla pudding mix
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
2 1/4 c flour
1 t baking soda
1/2 t baking powder
1 c milk chocolate chips
1 c white chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter and sugar in large mixing bowl. Stir in dry pudding mix and vanilla. Beat in one egg at a time. In a separate bowl mix together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Slowly stir into the wet ingredients. Stir in the chocolate chips.
This is what it will look like, and oh-my-goodness that is heaven in a bowl!
Spray the cookie sheet. Spoon those beautiful balls of dough onto the sheet.
Bake 8-10 min. (in my oven it took the entire 10 min.) and enjoy.
Yep, they were that good.
Just for fun, I thought I'd show you how my kids eat cookies. Goofy crushes hers all over the counter.
Bud shoves the whole thing in his mouth.
Princess eats them daintily like the well-mannered princess she is.
