I have a little Christmas present for you. I am going to share the recipe for one of my favorite Christmas treats: Peanut Butter Chex.
If you are a sweet tooth - this will hit the spot.
If you are a peanut butter lover - you're in for a treat.
If you are a gluten free eater - share this tasty snack at a party or movie night. You can't go wrong!
Peanut Butter Chex
1 c smooth peanut butter
1 c granulated sugar
1 c light corn syrup
6 c Chex cereal
Directions:
Put Chex cereal into a large bowl. Pour sugar and corn syrup into a pot. Cook on stove top until boiling and sugar dissolves. Quickly add peanut butter and mix until smooth. Pour peanut butter mixture over the top of the Chex cereal. Using a spatula or wooden spoon, mix until evenly coated. Line a jellyroll pan with wax paper. Press peanut butter Chex onto wax paper and allow to cool.
Would you just look at that?! Heaven on a jellyroll pan. I love to eat it when it's nice and warm.
We decided to give peanut butter Chex out as a treat to the neighbors this year.
We were able to fill 5 little gift bags (and would have been able to do one more if we hadn't been scarfing it down).
I also wanted to show you the little tag that I made on PicMonkey. If you haven't ever used PicMonkey, give it a try. I love it!
Merry Christmas! Enjoy your Peanut Butter Chex!
