Look at that picture.
Just look at it!
I was rummaging through some old recipes I used to make when I was a teenager and came across this gem. This recipe was given to me in Activity Days when I was 10 years old (why yes, I am a bit of a recipe pack rat. How did you know?) When you eat this you will feel as though you are drinking an orange creamsicle. I'm not kidding!
Here's what you need to make your own heaven-in-your-mouth:
Ingredients:
1/2 can orange juice concentrate, frozen
1 c water
1/3 c sugar
1 1/2 c milk
1/4-1/2 t vanilla (depending on your taste preferences)
15-20 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a blender, pour yourself a large cup-full, and savor every bite.
Everyone in my house loves this drink. My kids begged me to make it two days in a row.
You could try to make it healthier by using Splenda instead of sugar. Maybe even nectar or honey would work. If you modify it, let me know how it tasted. I love hearing from you readers!
