Chinese Dragons

Earlier this year I had the privilege to teach the preschoolers about Chinese New Year.  We had so much fun talking about China, their traditions, their food, their music, etc.  For craft time the kids made these Chinese Dragons I found on Pinterest.

First they colored their dragon heads.

Some kids really took their time.

Next, we cut out the heads, added a popsicle stick, and attached a streamer for a tail.

They were pretty proud of their Chinese dragons.  When their dragons were done they would tell me whether their dragon was a "nice dragon" or a "mean dragon."  I would definitely suggest this craft for another Chinese New Year.
