Little Superman Costume

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween.  I'm a little late with this post, but I'm finally getting a chance to breathe after all of the craziness.  Halloween is always so much fun.  This year was no exception.  I had resolved to make costumes for all three of my kids this year.  My husband gave me a sewing machine our first year of marriage (not knowing that I am not a great seamstress)  Ever since I got it I have made sure to sew at least one thing a year.  That way the machine gets used (and my husband doesn't feel that it's a waste of money) and I get better as a seamstress.

Princess wanted to be "Ariel in the pink dress" this year.  That costume was a struggle let me tell ya.  Never have I ever been so stressed out about sewing.  I was pretty excited about how it turned out though, and she absolutely loved her costume.  She said she wants to wear it again next year.  Score!

Goofy was Little Red Riding Hood.  If you'd like to check out what I posted about making her Little Red Riding Hood costume click on the link.  Wearing the hood was her favorite part.

Finally, here is Bud as Superman.

I got the idea for his costume when I happened across this pin for super hero logo templates.  I used her template to make the logo out of felt.  Then I hand-stitched it to a onesie and whipped out a quick cape.  His costume was the easiest costume I've ever made and he looked so cute in it.
