Pumpkin Pie White Hot Chocolate

Look at what I found when I walked out the door this morning...

SNOW!  I love, love, love snow!  My hubby hates to drive in it, and it can be a pain, but just look at how pretty it is.

Pretty pretty pretty.  Bud loves the snow because I bundle him up all snuggly and warm.

AW!

Now, snow makes everything feel like Christmas to me.  I love Christmas, but I have a little problem: I'm one of those people who doesn't like to skip Thanksgiving/Fall.  I don't like skipping any holiday.  I needed something warm and fall-like.  As I sat scrolling through my pins I came across this Pumpkin Pie White Hot Chocolate recipe.  Oh my goodness!  It was absolutely delicious!

It was the perfect blend of pumpkin and white chocolate.  It warmed me right through.

Princess loved it!

She was afraid of getting burned at first, so she drank it through a straw.

If any of you are in need of something warm and pumpkin-y give this recipe a try.  You won't be disappointed!

Pumpkin Pie White Hot Chocolate
3 c whole milk
1 c pumpkin puree
1/2 t cinnamon
1/4 t ginger
1/8 t nutmeg
1/8 t cloves
1 t vanilla
4 oz white chocolate (roughly chopped)
a pinch of salt

Combine milk, pumpkin, and spices in a sauce pan.  Cook until simmering.  Remove from heat.  Add chocolate and stir until melted.  Top with whipped cream, cinnamon, or marshmallows.  Enjoy!
