Owl Party

Guess who had a birthday today...

Goofy!  My silly little girl turned 2.  

I wanted to make it a special day for her, so I put up a few friends to greet her as she came out of her room.

Here's what she saw when she woke up.  But this is not the only place in the house covered with festive little owls.  Oh no!  Let me give you the grand tour.  

Here is the front door.  

This is what would greet you if you walked into our house today.  

Owls, owls everywhere.

All of the kids loved our new owl friends.

To top it all off I made a little owl cake.

I'm no cake decorator by any means, but I was pleased with the result.  Here's how you can make an owl cake of your own along with a vanilla butter frosting recipe.
