Rocking Birds

Spring is finally here!  To celebrate we made these cute little blue birds.  I saw this pin for Rockin' Peeps and knew my kids would get a kick out of them.

If you want to get fancier you can follow the directions on the site, but we just used card stock, tape, and a Sharpie marker.

I let Princess trace around the roll of tape to make a nice circle.  She did a really good job.

We cut them out and folded them in half.

Next, we cut out little triangles and folded them in half.  We attached them to the circle for a beak.

Princess added the eyes and some wings.

They were super fun to play with.  We raced them across the floor by flicking them.  We dribbled them like a basketball with our fingers.  We tried to make them jump, flip, and spin.  What a cute, easy, and cheap craft for kids!
