Monkey Birthday Party - Decorations

Guess who just had a birthday?!

My little Bud!

I can't believe it's been a year since I went through you-know-what to have this boy.  Two words: emergency c-section.  And if that isn't bad enough I'll give you a few more words: epidural malfunction.  Not fun.

But look at this boy.  He's totally worth it!  He's my most mellow, patient, playful child.  I love him to pieces.

The theme this birthday was monkeys.  Do you like his little monkey outfit?

Hubby, being the good sport he is, helped me string up some vines around the house.

We hung a couple of monkeys on the vines as well.  I love, love, love monkeys!

A few more shots of the ceiling.

Here's the front entry way...

The gift table...

And a couple of pictures of the banister.

This little monkey greeted you as you walked in the front door.

The birthday boy in his seat of honor.

I hung a little monkey and the number 1 from the light above the kitchen table.

The presents all wrapped and ready to open.

Let's get this party started!

Proud mommy moment: Bud is starting to stand up!  I'm sure it's only a matter of time before he's walking.

He finally has some boy toys to play with.  This poor kid has got to be tired of My Little Pony and princess Polly Pockets.

Time for cake.  I made a monkey-shaped banana cake.

Bud pounded his cake.

Mustache face!

Neither of my girls got nearly as excited about cake, so watching Bud down it was a blast!

Fun cake, fun decor, fun boy.

Bud approves!
