Leprechaun Beard Pictures

St. Patrick's Day is finally here!  I love this holiday because it's not too terribly commercialized.  It makes for a nice, laid-back holiday.

If you are looking for a fun St. Patrick's Day craft it's your lucky day!  This simple art project will keep your kids busy.

All you will need is a your child's picture green cardstock, red and orange construction paper, crayons, a pencil, scissors, a glue stick, and Elmer's glue.

I photo-shopped some leprechaun hats onto pictures of my kids and printed them out.

I let the kids color their picture.

Look how excited Bud was to color.

Next, you glue the picture to the green cardstock.

Trim the edges of the green cardstock.  Then, cut the construction paper into small squares.  Crunch the squares around a pencil eraser.  Put a drop of glue on the middle of the crunched square, and push it onto the picture wherever you want it to go.  Princess and Goofy didn't want to make beards, so they decorated their pictures instead.

Here's Bud's beard.  Doesn't he look festive?!

Goofy proudly showing me her picture.

Princess did a nice job decorating the border of her picture.

A closer look at Princess' picture.

I must say I'm glad that Bud doesn't have a beard yet.

A final look at all three pictures.  Too fun!
