Child Art Easter Egg Banner

Is your counter top being overrun by your child's artwork?  Mine is.  So is my hutch, and my work desk, and my dresser, and...

I love my kids' artwork, but there is always SO much of it!  My kids are drawing me a new picture every day (I kid you not).  What am I supposed to do with all of their lovely works of art?  You can't throw them away!  What if the kids catch you?  I feel like I am committing a crime every time I sneak a piece of colored on paper into the garbage can.  I came up with a solution that made both my kids, and my tabletops, very happy.

I asked my girls if I could use some of their recent artwork to decorate the house for Easter.  They quickly agreed.  Using my cricut machine, I cut the papers into eggs.  Then, I hole punched the top and strung a piece of ribbon through the eggs.  As you can see from the picture above, the kids were very enthusiastic about having their artwork displayed for the Easter holiday.

Goofy showing me how long the new banner is.

I made two Easter egg banners.  Here is what one looks like hanging up in our window.

A little closer look.

We now have a colorful conversation starter when friends and family come to visit.  My girls have enjoyed showing off their artwork.

For those of you who don't have a cricut machine, here is an Easter Egg Template from Activity Village that you can use to make a banner of your own.
