Statue of Liberty Headbands

Happy 4th of July!  We have been getting ready for tomorrow by making paper chain decorations and interchangeable flowers for the girls' flip flops.  Although the kids had fun helping me, the Statue of Liberty headbands were the big hit of the day.  They are so easy to make.

All you need is a headband and a 4 x 6 piece of green foam.  Cut the foam into a crown shape (pictured above).

Cut slits in the bottom of the crown and pull the triangles through.  Slide the headband through the opening created and you're done.  Could that be any easier to make?

If you would like a larger sized crown, check out the template here on Parents.com.  It's perfect for adults!

Once they put them on, my girls ran around the house posing like the Statue of Liberty.  I love how excited kids get over the simplest things.

What are your favorite things to wear on the 4th of July?
