Fall Leaf Printing

IT'S AUTUMN!  My favorite season is finally here!  The sweaters, the crisp air, the leaves changing colors, the pumpkin-flavored everything.

*Sigh!*

To celebrate, I talked about Autumn with my kids.  We talked about the days getting colder, apples and pumpkins getting ripe, and leaves changing colors.  After our little lesson, we created some Fall leaf prints.  This craft is super easy, somewhat messy, and your kids will love it.

You Will Need:

• Leaves (pick some that are not old and won't break when pressure is applied)
• Paint in various Fall colors (red, yellow, orange, brown)
• Paint brushes or foam brushes (we used foam)
• Pieces of paper
• A paper plate
• Water (to clean off the brushes)
• Aprons/paint shirts

Give each person participating a piece of paper, a couple of leaves, a brush, a paper plate with paint on it, and an apron or a paint shirt.  

Using the brush, paint the leaves different colors.  Press the leaves to the paper and then lift.  Wash of your brush and try another color.  Your kids will want to do this over and over and over and over...again.  Trust me.  

They will love, not only their Fall leaf prints, but turning the leaves different colors with their paint as well.
