*Walk with us where Jesus walked before he resurrected.
Day 5 - Maundy Thursday.
The table was all set up...
The family was ready...
So we read the card about Maundy Thursday. (Printables found here at Happy Home Fairy.)
We talked about the Last Supper--how the bread represents Jesus' body and the water represents His blood. I explained that the atonement took place. Christ suffered for the sins of all mankind. After he had suffered he was betrayed by Judas for 30 pieces of silver. They took Jesus away to be crucified.
I showed the kids some silver coins and talked about their worth and talked about how the Savior is worth so much more.
We broke some bread and had some water.
Then, we colored some pictures of Jesus having the Last Supper. (Click the link for the free printable.)
Princess just loves to color.
Such focus!
My cute kiddos. They have been loving learning about Jesus this week.
Such pretty pictures.
Here's a video of the Last Supper.
And here's a video of the Savior suffering in Gethsemane. (Don't forget that Our Busy Homeschool has a great list of videos for you to watch.)
Remember what Easter is REALLY about!
